OneStim News: OneStim Deploys the First of Its Red Fleets | Schlumberger
March 26, 2018
Just months from the closing of the hydraulic fracturing asset purchase from Weatherford, the first of many OneStim “red fleets” begins work in West Texas.
Seventeen pressure pumps were put into action in the Permian Basin on March 15, 2018—less than three months from the official closing of the asset purchase from Weatherford on December 29, 2017.
The OneStim team set into motion this deployment early in the year. Multiple project-readiness assessments were held to prepare the equipment, people, chemical, logistics, standards, and exemptions before deployment.
All hands were on deck to ensure an efficient and safe rollout. Representatives from the Operations Planning Center (OPC), Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM), HSE, HR, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, and Integration met to ensure each played a key role, working together to make the speedy deployment a reality.
Of course, critical to the success of this deployment involved careful selection and training of personnel to run the equipment, which also had to be green tagged prior to deployment. Integration of proper testing and QC procedures, as well as pre- and post-maintenance, was also completed to ensure the success of the first red fleet to arrive on location for OneStim.
